'Pompeii' is Gaza ... 😓

And the walls kept tumbling down in the city that we love

Grey clouds roll over the hills bringing darkness from above

And if you close your eyes

Does it almost feel like you've been here before?

How am I gonna be an optimist about this?

The incoherent ramblings of tyrants have long echoed through the halls of the U.N., but this neverending brain dump of factless junk is unrivaled.

How anyone can giggle at this train wreck is beyond me.

Walk out, for crying out loud. We’re so utterly f’ed.

These are the times I miss Christopher Hitchens the most.

He'd cut through all the bs and noise that's being generated with I'll intent eloquently and without hesition.

Gimme a f'ing break.

So Trump is basically forcing the world to chose between a stable autocratic economic super power or the unstable version of it a.k.a. the U.S.

Tough call, Mr. stable genius.

Do not obey in advance.

Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do.
