A little pet peeve I have is when someone (like the reply person in the second image) assumes an entire context can be found in a social media post, and says so with smug confidence.

@kashhill.bsky.social Thank you for all the reporting you do. Quick question: did you ever hear from the fathers whose accounts were closed by Google, and whether they were able to recover their accounts?

I think it’s fair for people to question rezoning, though I disagree. I think it’s really misleading to illustrate that with a photo of a completely different type of development double the size of what is permitted by the zoning type in the op-ed. calgaryherald.com/opinion/it-f...

It’s amazing to see people doing conspiracy thinking for something easily explained by someone signing up for this campaign using his email address after his death and saying the first name on the account is “Pedophiles”.

I didn’t think I was going to see a photo today of Noam Chomsky and Steve Bannon yukking it up from the files of Jeffrey Epstein, but here we are.
Some people are getting an error message trying to download the new Epstein photos from the @oversightdemocrats.house.gov Dropbox link.

I downloaded the files before it was overloaded, so I've uploaded them to the Internet Archive if you're having the same problem accessing them:

Remember when they launched that public form for reports of tech company bias, and then I FOIA’d all the agencies that would have received a copy of responses and was told none exist? Let’s do that again. www.whitehouse.gov/articles/202...
A CALL TO ACTION: Submit “Media Bias” Tips
The White House recently launched a Media Bias Portal as a service to truth and transparency. Its purpose is to combat the baseless lies,

Sara, Goose, Zero and I are moving to London in January!

The whole process is proving very expensive (what isn’t these days) so I’ve decided to bump the price of Obscura from $20 to $25 per year. But since it’s black friday, you can get your first year for just $10 yay!

Thinking about the Glenn Kessler bonus episode of @ifbookspod.bsky.social in reading this, especially given that it somehow lands on “false” despite everyone, in fact, learning Arabic numerals and nobody, aside from NW, suggesting he is “introducing” them. www.newsweek.com/fact-check-mam…
Fact check: Is Mamdani introducing Arabic numerals to New York schools?
Arabic numerals are simply the digits 0 through 9—the standard number symbols used in every classroom in the United States.

I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

I wonder if Alberta’s Minister of Red Tape Reduction has heard about the new “Statement of Eligibility form”, introduced by Alberta’s government, required to be completed in triplicate for each voter, or the requirement to hand-count all ballots. Feels red-tapey to me.

I just finished “Lucky Loser” and the guy loves his ballrooms.

Also, it’s a pretty trite comparison, but imagine the Fox News reaction if Barack Obama so much as chipped the paint.
Scoop: Trump has started demolishing the White House's East Wing facade to build his ballroom. The president had claimed construction of the $250 million building wouldn’t ‘interfere’ with the existing White House structure. /W @ddiamond.bsky.social wapo.st/4hqBNiU
