Look, I love @techmeme.com as much as anyone, but are we learning anything when they aggregate and link to a fringe conspiracy blog like Zero Hedge? www.techmeme.com/250917/p45#a...

It is very weird to me that blackletter continues to have Nazi connotations when it was banned by them, not chosen as the “official font”.

(I just really like blackletter, okay?)

I disagree. In the current fiscal year, the City of Calgary has budgeted $204 million on “streets” (maintenance, except on two provincial roads) and $59 million on “sidewalks and pathways”. Yet according to the Sprawl article, only 2% of commuters cycle. On a usable basis, that would be a cut.

Is that because he wants to do the bullshitting himself?

Given CNN’s current coverage, we are days away from graphics like these.

Truly one of the dumbest mainstream commentators. That people take him seriously is astonishing to me. Can’t even follow his own advice of being unable to write coherently about immigration and so he may as well shut up.

It turns out this needs to have the cadence and format of an idiom to work. I tried with seven random words and it didn’t. Anyway, here is my contribution.

It’s writing like this that makes me very happy I subscribe and also horrified and a bit sick.

Monogram's Finca Milan is nuts. If you like bright and fruity coffees and can obtain this, I highly recommend it. The watermelon flavour is so pronounced it tastes almost impossible.

Correction: I looked at OpenTable this morning and Siri hallucinated from that a reservation I did not make, and suggested I add it to my calendar — which I did not see because I use Fantastical — and then suggested I mute notifications. My phone is haunted.

Siri Suggestions on my iPhone full-on hallucinated an event. I don't think this is under the Apple Intelligence umbrella, but no such reservation exists. I was looking at OpenTable earlier on my Mac's web browser, and maybe that triggered something? Bizarre.
