Upgraded to macOS Tahoe expecting to thoroughly hate and it's fine. There's a good number of rough edges that I'm sure will get refined over time, but in general I'm cool with it.

I wonder if the number of folks abandoning macOS won't have the effect of Apple pulling back on their work and reshaping it into what it should be (and once was).

Instead of fighting to regain those users they'll just say "fuck it" and leave it to rot into irrelevance.

For those following along, I eventually got it working by upgrading the version of 1Password and also setting ELECTRON_OZONE_PLATFORM_HINT=wayland
