Dunno, first time I've tried it in fairness. I think it's further complicated by the fact you have to rely on something like xwayland-satellite. It didn't work and there seem to be a bunch of other issues that are basically a dead end. Your hack is only insane in implementation - tcl/tk!

Same, I don’t mind some amount of join the dots but ultimately went back to GNOME where everything works 🤷
