Last week I had a client show up at my studio, unexpectedly. She wasn't in my calendar, oops.
Today we're doing the rescheduled shoot and my camera just up and dies. I finish the shoot with a spare.
Then the memory card can't be read on the PC.
Is there a lesson here? IDK.

I recently set up Groovy MiSTer, which acts as a display for Groovy MAME running on a PC. It's a brilliant setup that bypasses the PC's laggy video subsystem entirely. It's an easy thing to set up, but I felt an up to date concise (written!) guide might be handy for some people.

My new coping strategy is digging a bunker, tapping into the old coal mines and popping up in basements, and stealing preserves.
Except Australia has no basements and people don't do preserves anymore. So I guess I'll just dig holes, pop up in yards like a mole in Mario World, and scream.

Copped a big hit from the storm today. A dozen dents on my car from the hail and so much water came in through the window of my hoise there were wet boxes above my head, and I'm tall. Pools of water on the floor, and on my arcade cabs. Water literally pouring off arcade PCBs when I pick them up.

I did not think miyamoto would have said that. Happy to be right about something for a change.
So the Miyamoto quote was not correct. This is what he actually said. It doesn't change what I said about Nintendo not actively helping game preservation, though.
So this is just legitimate ragebait. The context was specifically about expanding the Nintendo IPs and the Nintendo Museum where they can see and use old hardware. Here's the question and answer

I think this is a really salient point that’s a key thing that gets overlooked as an element of what might be necessary to embrace if we’re going to be able to get out of this.
One reason former Republicans have been better at opposing Trump than many progressives is because they correctly understand that the GOP’s descent into fascism represents a dramatic shift, and is therefore scarier, where the latter groups feel the need to argue it’s just a continuation of trend
