Ab initio electronic structure calculations of lanthanide single-molecule magnets; a practical guide
Research into single-molecule magnetism lies at the nexus of challenging synthetic chemistry, spin physics and ab initio quantum chemistry. There are no “one-size-fits-all” textbooks and as such it ca...

A new ‘molecular GPS’ method can help scientists see drug-binding interactions more clearly. Dr Martyna Judd says that understanding drug-protein interactions better can help optimise drug design and prevent side effects.

Could the invention of ‘molecular GPS’ help us develop better medicines?
Just like how GPS triangulates your location using satellites, scientists can now place labels at different positions around the surface of a protein to visualise drug-binding interactions more clearl...

nothing would make me happier than US science returning to the amazing and transformational legacy of success and dominance

but if that's not possible, we need other places with the vision to take over as the pacesetter

humanity's long term success demands no less
Are you a top US-based scientist wanting to relocate to Australia? We are now calling for formal applications from both Australian and non-Australian citizens based in the US whose work is internationally recognised as exceptional.

This. Or multi mode transport links in general with regional centres. Nightmare.
Has anyone invented an AI that can accurately plan complicated, multi-day, multi-destination train trips? This would be so much more useful to academics than the current functionality of doing a bad job of undergraduate assignments.
