I was sick for a couple days and missed an occult book a day post, so that sucks.
BUT Ive been rereading some favorite fiction from my early teens.

Wither by J.G. Passarella, Running With The Demon by Terry Brooks and Pawn of Prophecy by David & Leigh Eddings. 1997 nostalgia ftw.

Can I finish my 16 song album in 10 days? I'm enthused about finding out myself.

You'll know if it's out on Halloween and all the songs have vocals...

🚨 I do not know when or where, but it doesn’t matter. This is depravity. This is a child. Those are state employed monsters. There is nothing normal about being “okay” with doing this job. 1/2

I just don't like that the crown logo they use for the No Kings protests is Basquiat's crown. He used that image to reclaim some dignity and power for his marginalized community.

It causes me some cognitive dissonance to see that crown with a red X through it as a good thing, I guess.

Here's a song about being autistic written one day when I was mad and stressed about it - from my upcoming album that I think is called 'squid'.

@guerillatoss.bsky.social have been my favorite active band for about ten years.
Their new record You're Weird Now is a finely honed distillation of their sounds thus far and is rad.

The vocal delivery on the verse of the song Panglossian Mannequin makes me happy.

Everyone should listen to them.

Give it a watch!

So, I have an album of 14 songs that are done and only awaiting vocals.

Words are very hard.

Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson's method of singing nonsense over the melody until sentences come out has proven incalculably valuable in this trying time.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I read 1984.
And Fahrenheit 451.
And A Brave New World. And The Handmaid‘s Tale.
And The Giver.
And The Road.
And The Lottery.
And The Parable of the Sower.
And The Hunger Games.

I know what I’m seeing.

Wondering how much longer all the smart people in the United States will live in fear of their abjectly stupid neighbors and representatives.
I know I'm tired of it, at least.

the kimmel thing is bad but as long as they arent rounding people up indiscriminately based on race, building concentration camps and talking about eradicating those they deem sexual deviants, i think we’ll be ok
