Half term treat for my son is a mini break to sunny Birmingham. Wildlife park was small, Cannon Hill Park is lovely with a great arts centre and cafe. Just rocked up at our £36 b&b and it's basic but essentially perfect. My son wants to move here! What we have seen is nice tho.

Jeez I haven't driven around Cardiff City centre at rush hour in a minute, and what a collasal waste of time. 50 minutes Leckwith to the Bay to Cathays. I'd usually take the bike at this time of day but a friend has to go to the hospital. That'll be more waiting then.

A bit obsessed with Liturgy since discovering them last week. They were incredible in Hackney last night. I'm reading all the manifestos and album reviews and I've subbed to the YouTube. There are worse obsessions.

Liturgy were the absolute standout during a weekend of intense, ear shredding riffage at ArcTanGent. Their show is such an experience that I am going to suffer the national express to go to that there London and catch them again while they're still here in the UK. You should too!

The Turtles Movie: actually pretty good, with a very parent pleasing soundtrack and some stunning animation. Looking forward to more in this series.

Enjoying the new phone life, but why on earth do Samsung only let you input 4 fingers for the fingerprint reader? I have 10!
It's worse because with the Flip closed I unlock with my left hand but open I hold it in my right, so I need to input digits from both hands. SORT IT AAAHHT SAMSUNG

Made Grimace shakes with my son today and was pleased with how much fruit was in there. Just been back to look at the recipe again and it has as much sugar as a can and a half of coke! So it will remain a treat.

Wading into the Cardiff fried chicken arena for a moment, Popeyes really does have KFC and all the others smoked. I've had the burger, the chicken, and now the tenders, and it's all spot on. The mango habenero dip is something else, the fries are great. 11/10 - review ends
