Clark has been working on a Zelda/Minecraft mashup pack and steadily revising it for over a year. Today he released an update YouTube trailer! He’s only 14/just finished his freshman year of HS in design college. I’m impressed!

Legitimate question: At what point can I and my family be accepted by other countries due to persecution of autistic people in the United States? Yesterday’s comments by RFK Jr made it clear that we aren’t welcome here anymore.

I am a diagnosed autistic person. I am married and have been for 15 years. Not only do I pay taxes and hold down a very professional job, but while I got my 3 degrees I worked 80+ hours a week at two FT or multiple PT jobs. RFK Jr has led a privileged life and knows nothing about hard work OR autism

If you are an NC resident and voted in November, please check if your name or the names of any family areone of the 60K votes being challenged. If so, confirm ASAP with your Board of Elections. You only have two weeks.

The website to check linked in the reply.

NC Court of Appeals gives over 60,000 challenged voters 15 days to prove eligibility
The majority wrote that, even though they have the authority to completely throw out the contested ballots, they decided to instead mandate a cure period for most of the challenged voters.

So I started The Griffin Sisters’ Greatest Hits by @jenniferweiner.bsky.social and it’s the classic “autistic and everything about them is unkempt and unworthy except their magical gift” trope, ugh. As an autistic woman (who was obviously an autistic girl), this is deeply frustrating and sad. 😔. 📚💙

I appreciate that while I’m waiting for the shelter in place warning to come soon for these storms ripping through the Midwest, Colbert is on the same channel (streaming through Paramount bc we don’t do cable). At least I can laugh for a few!

Sen. Booker just broke the record for the longest floor speech in Senate history—a record set by Strom Thurmond trying to block the Civil Rights Act. The irony ain’t lost on us. From fighting against justice to fighting for it. This is what courage & being on the right side of history looks like!

Really getting back into reading lately! 💙📚
My March reads:
- The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams
- The Lighthouse by Karin Ciholas
- Count My Lies by Sophie Stava
- Our Infinite Fates by Laura Steven
- Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy
- Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins

I sat down this afternoon, feeling low, to force myself to read 30 minutes on my newest acquisition: The Reading List. Eight hours later, I just finished it. This book took me through ALL the feels - it’s nostalgic & heartbreaking & found family & tragic & WONDERFUL. Definitely one to be reread

As a product designer, I am ALL IN on this. Even though I love new tech, my ADHD brain does not need to think about what I’m touching while I’m driving. The touchscreen nightmare in a dealer loaner during service is a huge reason why I’ve made my 2011 minivan keep going at 200k miles (1/2)
Next year, the EU will require cars to have buttons & dials -- not just touchscreens -- to get a top safety rating.

This is a great move. Drivers can fiddle with knobs & buttons without taking their eyes off the road, but they can't do that with touchscreens.

(Even better: Tesla will hate this)
Cars will need fewer screens and more buttons to earn five-star safety rating in Europe
Euro NCAP will release new testing guidelines in 2026.

This old man has been SO frustrating the last three weeks since he got neutered and we officially adopted him. Definitely think he picked up something from the shelter during his stay. But he’s happy to have a medicated bath and to temporarily have his e-collar off while all his stuff gets washed!

Someone told me today that I'm too sensitive. I prefer to call it humanity. I'd rather be this way than behaving like the rest of the world right now, who seem to no longer give a fuck about anyone or anything.

I’m sorry, not allowed to sue??? If this were a white family, that wouldn’t be the case at all - conservatives would throw the unholiest of fits. Freaking ridiculous.

The officers smashed in the front door, deployed a flashbang grenade, and held Karen and James Jimerson and their three children at gunpoint before realizing their mistake. The Supreme Court says the team can't be sued.

An armed SWAT team burst in the wrong door — but this North Texas family can't sue
James and Karen Jimerson's home was wrongfully raided in March 2019. Courts say they can't sue the officer who led the raid because of qualified immunity.

Being hypersensitive of how my body feels at all times, the constant awareness of adrenaline building due to the current climate is super unsettling every day and making it hard to function. My fight or flight response has been dialed up to 1000 since the beginning of January and it’s wearing on me.

As an autist who doesn’t want to be cured but rather to have society make space for me, I’m not sure how to feel about the CRISPR/Down Syndrome news. How do people with DS feel about it? Do they want to be cured or is this the makings of eugenics? I’m not well informed enough yet
