Incredibly proud that Montgomery County, PA broke 50.7% turnout in an odd year municipal election. The highest of any large county in PA history. (Compare even with all the energy, NYC was 23%). Thankful for our amazing voter services team & 2,400 poll workers who make voting easy here.

SEPTA is a GREAT “system” with 800,000 daily riders, amazing people. But PA Senate Republicans — TOTAL FAILURES! They refused to compromise, & now—service cuts, fare hikes & GRIDLOCK on 76. COMPLETE DISASTER. Very bad for Philly, very bad for Pennsylvanian’s economy. FUND SEPTA, SAVE TRANSIT!!!

Good. I voted for @neilmakhija.bsky.social and this is what I want him and my other Commissioners to do. I will point this out to other voters as a reason to vote for him again.

Take notes, Dems of less conviction. Stop texting me for donations and start doing stuff.

Hey look at that someone read the statute!

Just to put a sharper point in it, this means everything that’s going on with the national guard right now in Cali is illegal as well as horrifically unnecessary and harmful
Just in from Governor Newsom.

Montgomery County was named on Trump’s target list today. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Thankfully, the Constitution protects our right to be a welcoming, safe community—and we’ll keep investing in mental health, housing, and real public safety. Trump’s $1 trillion immigration stunt will fail in courts.

We will not sign a 287(g) agreement, and our stance is rooted in constitutional principle, public safety, and fiscal responsibility.

Also very happy to see our own Montco commissioner @neilmakhija.bsky.social speaking at the rally today about the need for Montco communities to plan for more housing near stations!

Narberth is actively discussing this important issue, which will hopefully help us do our part to strengthen SEPTA!

Thank you, Wisconsin, for showing
us that the wealthiest man in the world couldn’t buy the election.

And that is the beauty of democracy.

Tonight Democrats won for the first time ever a PA State Senate special election in a district as red as Mississippi.

Special thank you to the Montgomery County Dems who made 17,000 calls into Lancaster.

The election denier lost. Democracy prevailed.

Part of why elections in the US are so secure is because they’re run by 10,000 local jurisdictions like mine.

Trying to rig an election is like trying to rob every bank in America at the same time

To rig American elections, you need to federalize them. The President’s new EO is doing just that.
