#AutChat A4: Asexuality is often not taken as a serious sexuality. And autistic people are not always taken seriously as adults. And people with alexithymia are not taken seriously as a valid experience. I experience all 3, and when I experience one from ppl who should know better, that sucks a lot.

#AutChat A1: It kind of did, yeah. I struggled with the idea of being asexual, until I found out I was autistic. The realization that I didn't engage with most social issues the same way as allistic ppl do made me realize I probably don't engage with sexuality the same way they do, either.

I've been mostly posting updates at night in my time zone, so I don't know how many of you have seen this, but I'm working on an SFW #Palia fanfic that follows a human wrestling with the work of starting over and making a new life in the shadows of the life she already lost. #WritingCommunity #AO3
The Elderwoods update got me diving back into #Palia and I found myself wondering what the game must be like from the perspective of a human that slowly remembers the life they lived before. So I started a story about it! Check out "This Body is a Temple to a Mad God" on AO3:

I am living in a timeline where people are disappeared, ACTUAL free speech atrocities are happening where Black and queer histories are being removed from bookshelves by the government, trans lives are besieged daily.

This is an alternate identity, okay, and as part of creating it I also made a tumblr and a discord for this version of me. Which is fine, I'm doing my thing and I enjoy it well enough, but my problem is that I couldn't keep up with ONE discord handle and now I have two and it is NOT working for me.

One good thing about being slow to get into new things and being out of the pop culture loop is that whenever I stumble on callout posts or videos about how some beloved famous person is bad, actually, I have no idea who they are or why I should bother to find out. Keeps the stress down.

I don't think Americans have come to terms with the damage that has been done. No one will ever trust the USA as a reliable trading partner, a reliable military partner or a reliable destination. This is the Fall of the American Empire... Even if everything was reversed... the damage is done!

The thing is, I'm not out offline. I don't use my legal name here, and people in my daily life do not know I'm ace, or agender, or faekin. Well, they sort of know I'm faekin, but most of them think it's a running joke. The point is, I have not felt the need to come out; and in fact, I kinda can't.
