Can you hit repost? Marjorie Taylor Greene doesn't want you to know the name of her opponent but will try every desperate attempt to save her seat.

My name is Shawn Harris. I am a Democrat, husband, father, Retired Brigadier General, farmer, and I'm running against MTG. Can you share and follow me?

The first manuscript by my lab has been published🥳🎉

We investigated disease progression in B6 mice inoculated with bovine H5N1 or VN1203 via aerosols. Interestingly, although virus replication in the lung was similar, we observed drastic differences in neuroinvasion and pathology.

I really relate to this 😂😁😳☹️
Academia is cool because if you're doing it right, every paper you published in the last 3 years feels inadequate now that you understand the topic better, but it'll take 3 years to get out the version where you get it more right, and you get to do that until one day you die! Isn't that cool

As usual, Edward does an excellent job summarizing complex and persistent inaccuracies.
There is so much about this screenshot that incenses me

In reality, the risks of side effects from a measles-mumps-rubella vaccination are vanishingly small, especially compared to the devastating effects of measles. 2 dosages provide 99% protection to disease.

Hearing from a source:

"A friend at NCI lost 3 outstanding staff (their words) and tweeted about it. She was suspended for 2 days. No idea how her tweet was flagged."

This is for all the people asking us why it's hard to tell what's happening at NIH. Retaliation is real.

“Because of public skepticism, it is not settled science.”

The former editor needs an editor.
According to a former editor of JAMA, we need more studies on whether or not vaccines cause autism.

What mistakes does he make?

The Trump NIH is banning hires of new students and postdocs. This is devastating for NIH research and will result in a lost generation of researchers at the institution.

Heard from a applicant today: "A lot of people are banking their entire careers on the [NIH student programs]..."

Trump tried to lower NIH indirect rates in his 2017 budget and that failed to pass. This is a reminder that everything he tried to do through legal means in the first term will be attempted again through illegal means. He will only succeed if we let him.

While not a perfect fit, the physiology of macaques and humans are similar so this helps to understand what the probable effects are 🧵
