Hello to all my new followers. Sorry if I don’t follow back quickly. I like to read profiles but I’ve never acquired so many new followers so fast and it’s taking a while.
I can officially guarantee that WICKED: FOR GOOD will earn at least $100,000,000 at the box office because I just bought 9 IMAX tickets. But I did get 16,641 credits added to my Regal account so I can get a small popcorn for free!

ChatGPT is still utterly incompetent. As a test, I just spent an hour trying to get it to build a detailed list of simple productivity macros and instructions on how to program them using Keyboard Maestro and the more we worked on it the more it got wrong or lied to me.

On Sunday mornings I can usually be found at Starbucks (don’t judge) by 7am for a hours long focused writing session. Missed it this morning. While correlation does not mean causation, I think vodka had something to do with it.

Don’t discount petty office politics. At his 6 mos review, coworker got promoted & was told “You’re the future of the company” by a VP. Next week he was gone because another VP was fighting with the first VP and wanted to exert her authority so she zeroed out the position’s budget. Ugly. Very ugly.
I hope the world finally acknowledges that even the very best of us can be suddenly laid off. For too long job loss (and unemployment) has been seen as something that only happens to bad performers, and poor networkers. Not true. There but for the grace of God go I.

I FINALLY replaced my 2017 MacBookPro with an M4 MBP. Data transfer is done and I'm about to reset the old Mac to return it. It feels like I'm giving an old friend a lobotomy - we've been through a LOT together.

Question: if a family member is sitting in the kitchen (not behind closed doors) having a conversation with another family member on speaker phone, and makes no move to get off speaker or give you any indication that the conversation is private when you enter, is this a “private” conversation?

I came to BlueSky to get away from the never ending nightmare that is politics on X. I wanted to focus mostly on screenwriting and film. It was great, at first. Now, I see more political posts than on X! While I agree with most of them is irrelevant. I should learn how filters work.

In screenwriting, it important keep your projects fresh. Make sure they’re up to date with things like technology, current events, anything relevant. I just polished a script that got a lot of attention a few years ago. Thought it would take 2 weeks. Did it in 6 hours. Even cut 2 pages!! 😁
