Bill 202 would:
🚫 Have a zero tolerance policy for gifts from lobbyists
📝 Disclose any gift valued over $100
✅ Implement a code of conduct for senior political staff
🏛️ Restore Albertans' trust in government
No more Skyboxes. It's time for ethical governance
Bill 202 is about ensuring clear rules, stronger oversight, and greater public confidence in how decisions are made.

Today,
@ndpkyle
and I proudly introduced the 'No More Skyboxes' Bill.

Bill 202 ensures that the honour and privilege of public office remain focused on serving Albertans rather than serving their friends and insiders. /1

“Smith, during question period Wednesday, said she's concerned such petition drives aren't using the legislation in good faith but instead are trying to overthrow her government.”

This morning the UCP refused to give Elections Alberta the resources to verify a recall petition. This is their own legislation.

Basically they are only “pro democracy” until the people actually use the power… so not actually pro democracy at all. #ableg

Smith is silencing the investigators.

Fired the AHS CEO & the entire board for looking into corruption.

Now firing the Auditor General for exposing corruption.

When you fire the watchdogs, it's not about efficiency—it's about avoiding accountability.
Braid: UCP rejects auditor general as he races to finish health scandal report
A UCP committee votes to replace auditor general Doug Wylie, the key person investigating the health contract scandal, writes Don Braid.

The UCP are happy to extend the contract for a private surgical company connected to the CorruptCare scandal…

…but not for the Auditor-General who’s investigating it.

Because the most power-hungry Premier & government in Canada isn’t in this for Albertans - they’re in this for themselves. #abpoli

1/ Teachers, we love you. We know today is hard and you will always have our support. The UCP’s back to work legislation is an attack on fundamental democratic rights.
It forces teachers and students back to the same overcrowded and underfunded classrooms that led to this strike in the first place.

Where's the premier while MLAs rush through an all-night debate on stripping Albertans of their Charter rights?

An airport lounge, waiting for a flight to Saudi Arabia. She didn't even bother to show up for the vote.

I remember when conservatives turfed premiers for this level of hubris.

Danielle Smith is the least freedom-loving politician in Canada. She has used the notwithstanding clause against workers for the first time in our history. This is horrifying evidence of the UCP’s willingness to suppress Albertans’ fundamental Charter rights. It’s unconscionable and it’s dangerous.
