The two offices (NWS Paducah, KY & NWS Jackson, KY) provided an avg lead time of 21.8 minutes (14 minutes for first #tornado report) & 34 minutes (18.2 minutes for first tornado report), respectively, with 22 of 24 reports warned (92%) on 5/16. All statistics are well above average. #Meteorology

The AMS is temporarily opening its career services to all who need them, regardless of membership status, and offering dues waivers and meeting registration fee reductions for those impacted by job loss due to changes in the government.

Can confirm that it's been very dry up here
January 2025 was very dry across most of the U.S. According to Prism data, it was the driest January since 1985 and the 5th driest since 1895.
