Hello #MedSky and #AnSky - this is our first [checks notes] “bloot”? Did we do it right, @brisgasdoc.bsky.social?

This is the future of postgraduate medical training. Congratulations to Dr Herath, and thank you to all the trailblazers who are pursuing portfolio pathway careers in departments and specialties which will be better off for having you in them.
Congratulations to my favourite colleague, Sandy, who just became my department's newest substantive consultant.

Sandy joined the Trust as a Specialty Doctor at the same time as me, and successfully completed a portfolio pathway application.

Congratulations, Dr Herath, Consultant Anaesthetist!

We are proud to be adding support for tracking the sharing of cutting edge research on MySpace any day now.
🧪 friends who are editors of scientific journals or know editors. Add a Post-to-@bsky.app button! (and looks like @altmetric.com will be adding the butterfly to their trackable social media sites in an announcement on Dec 3...I am just guessing here)
We strongly suggest that academic publishers and other platforms that host research rapidly implement a Share to Bluesky button for their articles. Here's how:

Congratulations to my #oneNBT colleagues who, I am reliably informed, have just won the #HSJ “Towards Net Zero” award. Couldn’t be more proud of the work they are doing in building a sustainable organisation.

Yep. Could they all verify themselves by changing their handles to their URL’s (top marks @bmj.com) whilst they’re at it? bsky.social/about/blog/4...
How to set your domain as your handle - Bluesky
Using a domain as your handle helps with account identity, verification, and portability. Here's how to set your domain as your handle.

All the official institutions will need to start using their official domains for their handles.. I foresee a lot of misinformation being spread here otherwise..

If anyone wanted to add @theSAScollect.bsky.social to any of their medical starter packs, you would be doing us a massive favour.

The SAS Collective look after a grassroots campaign called the #SASsix, which is all about seeing every doctor in the UK achieve their potential in the workplace.

A few years ago I posted this thread in the other place, reflecting on my PhD journey whilst prepping for my viva. Thought I should post it here now we are moving to Bluesky. Hopefully it's useful for aspiring researchers!

One of the things I have missed since my #eXit has been the snippets of #CPD that @bjajournals.bsky.social and @anaesjournal.bsky.social would post there regularly. Great to see they have joined the #eXodus - looking forward to keeping up to date here.

Well isn’t this the most useful teaching/learning aid for #TIVA? I had forgotten how nice it is to properly connect with fellow propofologists on social media and share nerdy trinkets like this.
First post here!
Simtiva.app is a web-based simulator for TCI/TIVA. It allows the use of Eleveld model (the latest one!) for propofol in "CE targeting", so you may use the suggested scheme on any syringe pump without TCI Eleveld functionality.

Other drugs and models also available for simulation...
