@edparnell.bsky.social I just finished reading your book 'Ghostland'. I thought I'd drop you a line to say how much I appreciated it. It's given me a lot to think about and reflect on, as well as a fantastic reference list for further reading. A very moving story.

"It is mind-bogglingly naïve to think that the Trump administration needs any kind of ‘justification’ for repression."

I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

The state uses religion as a tool to enforce fascism, and they do so badly, all over the world.

Most religions boil down to "be good to each other" and most of the religious people I've met in my life know that.

Very excited about this. Discussions! Arguments! Comics! All in a crucial year for pastoralism on the world stage.
Rangelands are the most common land cover on the planet, yet are often misunderstood.

Powerful stories and ‘myths’ have long shaped how rangelands and pastoralists are seen and often misjudged.

In 2026, we'll be exploring ways of seeing differently.
