It’s surprising as a millennial how many people with power are so gutless. I used to think that the people who capitulated were weak fools. However, it seems fecklessness is the norm. Trump could have been stopped by many people with power but they were all too afraid. And now they are grooving.
whether you think it’s fascism or “competitive authoritarianism” or whatever, this era will be characterized by Trump using state power to lean on his private sector enemies, and most of them will capitulate.
