The first two bowl games today were meh - some excitement but outcome not in doubt for much of the game.
The Sugar Bowl, OTOH, is more than making up for any lack of excitement. Well into the 4th quarter and I have no idea who’s going to win.

@gruber.foo Re: recent DF post on CarPlay. Another factor that doesn't get much press is that of incongruent time scales between phones and cars.
Not only do people replace phones more frequently than they replace cars, and phones are designed and manufactured on much shorter time scales.

Used today’s 50th anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (and the song of the same name) to workshop how to produce a TikTok/Instagram-style video with my media meteorology class. Kinda wish I’d just told them to run with this for this week’s assignment - some really neat ideas.

Periodic reminder: A “ground stop” for XYZ airport means traffic destined to fly to XYZ is being held on the ground at their points of origin, not that anything has “stopped” at XYZ.
So, a “ground stop for CLT” means planes at *other airports* are stopped from leaving for CLT.
