so today I have no central heating due to the Russian attack on Ukraine's biggest thermal power plants

Also my serious answer for this is that I believe that recipe-purist food snobbery (eg. Italians, or worse yet, poncey non-Italians, flipping their shit out at people putting cream into carbonara) is actually a form of very mild xenophobia.
