Yesterday (Saturday, 4/19), I went to the #HandsOff protest outside the White House organized by ANSWER.
Their first speaker was a DC teacher and I appreciate that they focused on local impacts.
Too often, people forget that DC is a vibrant city of 700,000 with no representation in Congress.

We know many of you are opting to write emails instead. Totally fine! But if you do so, we strongly advise against copy/pasting our call scripts into emails. Repetitious written msgs can easily get filtered out as form letters and trashed. Emails/letters are most effective w unique personal mgs! 🤓👍📞

I have faced fascism before, in this very country. I was one of 120,000 Japanese Americans summarily rounded up and expelled from our homes at gunpoint, all for the crime of looking like the people who bombed Pearl Harbor.
