🚨 New preprint out!

We've developed a Bayesian joint model that combines acoustic-trawl and #eDNA concentration data to improve fish biomass estimates. A step forward for integrative stock assessment and for translating eDNA data into practice.

I am happy to share a new preprint from the team on using #eDNA for monitoring diadromous species, led by @mukeshbhendarkar.bsky.social from @azti.bsky.social and with the collaboration of several institutions and administrations: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
Lessons learned from applying eDNA surveying to diadromous fish detection across the north-east Atlantic region
Regular monitoring of diadromous fishes is critical to inform their management and conservation. Yet, the in-situ data collection these species is challenging due to their complex life cycle and low a...

After 20+ years in science, I realized my most cited paper is (by far!) my first one. It had a big impact on me too, as I learned rigor in analyses and the art of writing. Proud of young me, navigating peak impostor syndrome while figuring out her path post-PhD.
