I recently relistened to Gotye’s 2011 album Making Mirrors and it really is stellar top to bottom. People got sick of the single but slept on the other tracks. That’s just the nature of pop radio. “State of the Art” in particular has been a great little earworm this go around.

The reason companies want to put AI in everything even though we actively hate it, is the same reason they were all in on Bitcoin, and crypto, and NFTs, and quantum computing.

It's because these companies can no longer make the line go up selling us products. They've maxed out on that.

Mike and Casen host the State of the Arc podcast which is simply the smartest thing I listen to. They do deeper and more thorough dives into game thematics than anything else I've encountered and I'm a better person for listening to them (though not smarter)

At least once a week I think to myself "maybe the rightwing ideologues are right, I live in a bubble so maybe my analysis is tainted by that." Then I remember: I'm reacting to things that Trump says on directly camera, unvarnished by any intermediaries.
i admit i live in an echo chamber of leftist politics, the only exception being when i hear things said by the president, the next president, the supreme court, members of congress, people on the news, my family, or people i encounter in my daily life.

I’m quite enjoying the history of D&D podcast “When We Were Wizards.” I finished episode one today and, for example, had no idea Gary Gygax grew up so poor and was a high school dropout. Looking forward to seeing how they handled the initial success of their game. #DungeonsandDragons
