Watching an old playthrough of Farpoint VR, the launch title that came with the Playstation Aim controller. I played it years ago...

Kinda sad I can't play that anymore (no PSVR1). Wonder whatever happened to the studio that made it.

Sadly as Fredia said, the OpenXR standard supports it, but it requires phones to implement the standard, and they currently don’t.

Monado is working on an implementation that works on phones, so can keep an eye out for that.

Wow, i finally have my pickup logic working. The approach can’t deal properly with rigidbodies that have joins (yet), but outside of that it’s looking really solid. Defo a solid improvement over XR tools 1.

Oh for games where latency isn’t an issue I think there is definitely a market. But everytime i’ve seen cloud gaming trying to establish itself, it fails on games for which most of the worlds internet is inadequate.

And then the priority is on bandwidth, not latency. My connection is totally unsuitable for the low latency demands fast paced gaming has.

Sure a turn based chess game will work in the cloud, a VR game? Nah…

Decades of politicians who don’t understand that infrastructure comes first, means we’re over 10 years behind the rest of the world. Today, after living here for 18 years, I finally have a connection comparable to what I had when I left Holland.

I’m so on the fence with this, the problem that needs to be solved first is the infrastructure. Large parts of Europe are ready, but here in Australia we’ve never had the political will and our infrastructure has been hampered as a result.
