One of things I find myself repeatedly doing while making presentations these days: I will start with walls of text, make a couple of design choices that seem appropriate at the moment. Then I will ask LLM to come up with SVGs of potential slide layouts. Seems to work well. #claude #chatgpt #llm

I used to think “let’s just rewrite this” was a malaise that only software developers suffered from. There is a version of this in other areas of any business (e.g. business strategy). Nobody spends any time what got us to X in the first place before “let’s just replace it with this new shiny Y”

Does anyone know what happened during the last tariff regime (‘18/‘19) when China greatly reduced their ag buy from US? Did the US govt. buy the surplus from the farmers and distributed using USAID ( my guess, but not sure) ?

I am at a more or less very cozy phase of my year-end running. I started Project Hail Mary audiobook for my outdoor runs today. For treadmill runs, I have Dark TV series. Something to look forward to for any runs.

Overheard in a meeting: File-based integration is from the 80s. It’s so old that we don’t do it at our Big Corp company anymore.
If only the dude knew anything about every technology his life depended on ( hospital, financial, retirement etc) ran on file-based integration 1000s of times a day.

Well, I did it. I made through the entirety of Daylight savings time this year without resetting my car’s clock. Now the rest of the country has caught up with me. I knew I was right all these past few months. My broken clock will be unbroken until next year!
