Children also exist in TANECHAN's world. Like human children, TANECHAN's young may also become wide awake at night.

Elephant Seals
Four black ink sketches of elephant seal faces at different blubbery angles. Usually when asked what animal someone considers to be the most uncomfortable, they’ll say something about spiders, or parasitic wasps, or botflies, perhaps an octopus (unfair to the invertebrates). For me, I find elephant seals (genus: Mirounga) to be deeply uncomfortable, particularly the males. Their dominance displays and clashing fights leave sprays of blood arching through the air, and sometimes crush their own pups under their gargantuan weight (up to 4,000 kilos).

This artwork depicts a world where the ocean realm perished long ago, and the land is now being destroyed in real time. It shows massive drones flying over the earth sinking one after another into the sea.

Every creature in nature possesses an artistic form. I don't know if TANECHAN thinks so, but I certainly do.

News reports over the past few days have indicated heavy snowfall is expected across Japan through this weekend. While it likely won't snow where I live, areas under snow forecasts must be extremely vigilant.
