All aboard for family fun!

One regular fare-paying adult (18+) can bring up to four passengers (between the ages of 5 and 17, under 5 ride free) for just $1 each with the new family fare.

This weekend's winter storm brought plenty of snow to the region, but through it all, we kept New York moving—thanks to the thousands of MTA employees across New York City Transit, Metro-North Railroad, Long Island Rail Road, Access-A-Ride, and Bridges and Tunnels.

LIRR crews used salt, heat, and jet-powered snow blowers to keep trains moving yesterday. Yes, jet-powered.

The railroad has seven rail-bound jet blowers — repurposed jet and helicopter engines — that blast snow and ice clear of switches and the third rail.
