General well-meaning doofus widow. Let's go for a hike.
Everything Everywhere All At Once was I think my first movie in the theater after COVID. Big sold-out theater at the Boston Common AMC (right on the edge of Chinatown). A+ cinematic experience.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

This is my Larry Summers story: I once gave tours of his house for a fundraiser. People kept asking if it was Larry Summers’ house, but I wasn’t supposed to say. The house was filled with Larry Summers memorabilia so I finally just started saying that the owner was clearly a big fan.

I love having chorus rehearsal on Tuesdays, makes election nights way less stressful. Except for last year when we switched to a new rehearsal space at an elementary school and they didn’t tell us that the room we rehearse in was a polling place and we had to move the rehearsal at the last minute.

I thought that I didn't need to worry about RealID, because I already have a passport, passport card, and Global Entry card. What I forgot was: my regular old drivers license expires this month.

Bought a big jar of powdered peanut butter and I am really in "hammer looking for a nail" mode now. Most recent invention: pean-oat milk cafe latte (it's not bad but you gotta either drink it fast or stir it constantly).

One thing I didn't anticipate about going back to school after 10 years as a web developer was how angry I am getting at all the instructional tech! I'm like THE SITUATION DOES NOT NECESSITATE THIS MUCH JAVASCRIPT, PEARSON!

Have recently stumbled across a new "dirtbag, but make it healthy" meal which is a Tasty Bite bean curry pouch (usually madras lentils) with a cup or so of frozen spinach mixed in.

Went to the Fuller Craft Museum in Brockton on Friday and it is a really cool little museum! I especially loved the Beau McCall: Buttons On! exhibit, very cool clothes and art by an artist whose work I recognized but whose name I had not known.

The hose just detached from my toilet and sprayed a really impressive amount of water all around my half-bath for NO REASON that I can discern. I flushed the toilet and off pops a hose that I have not so messed with in... four years? Uncool toilet behavior.

Four Funerals and a Wedding: A Concert by the Metropolitan Chorale
The music of mourning is both touching and personal.  The universal experience of loss resonates deeply in the four works by English composers Purcell, Howells, Tavener, and Goodall, each with a parti...

Brand new kind of anxiety for me! I don't know who has the key to the storage unit I need to get into at ~7:30AM tomorrow!

Hey I'm not sure I want to do social media anymore but this seems as nice a place as any to do it! I like crafts and bikes and singing. I'm a software developer, ex-librarian, future nurse, always science nerd.
