For those who don’t know. If you apply for PIP you contact the DWP by phone and are sent a paper form to complete.

You’re then sent for assessment where an ‘independent assessor’ who is a medical professional (usually a physio or nurse) will ask questions based on the areas that PIP is awarded.
They’ve been at the forefront of ‘Autism and ADHD are over diagnosed’ bs, especially ADHD.

It’s now almost impossible to get an NHS diagnosis in Scotland, most health boards have closed waiting lists. The same is now happening in England.
In the last decade, the BBC has legitimised climate change denialism, paved the way for Brexit, defended the coup that was prorogation, over-platformed Farage's Far Right projects, and is neutral on our abandonment of human rights norms.

What is this 'good' it supposedly does?

If you think this is a comprehensive list then what you’re saying is fuck Scotland, she can flout our laws, she can change our laws, she can publicly attack the First Minister, and her minions can harass NHS workers and rape crisis staff. You don’t give a fuck as long as it happens in Scotland.

Can predator win please?!
There's a new Predator movie out so it's as good a time as any to say that, if I was given the opportunity to add an addition to any franchise, I'd have the Predator land in Glasgow in the 80s during an Old Firm fixture.

if you wondering how the NHS in Scotland is doing. I’m contemplating if it’s possible to break my tailbone so they’ll actually treat it as an acute issue.

I’ve had an inflamed tailbone for about three years and the NHS treatment plan seems to be ‘go fuck yourself’.

it’s the Scottish government it’s not like they’ll implement it.
The Scottish Government's new Climate Change Plan is welcome, but must be matched by a laser-like focus on delivery and implementation.

Why would you throw someone in the sea, they might survive. And why the monarch, that wouldn’t change anything.

But you do seem to be under the impression we don’t do angry mobs. That’s a dramatic reinterpretation of history

I used to think @journoresources.org.uk were great but they’re actually advising journalists how to use AI in their work for research etc.

How are we supposed to trust journalists when they are using the plagiarising hallucination machine for research?

Robison is basically saying she wants people in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to suffer benefit cuts.

I've written a couple of things over the last days about how the government and much of Westminster remaining on X as the platform becomes increasingly toxic is having consequences for our politics...
Our politics is increasingly normalised to racism – because politicians are addicted to X
The platform has quietly dragged British politics into a dark place

"For reasons that have nothing to do with informing, educating and entertaining, but are likely instead about some team’s target stats, the BBC decided to actively tell millions of people they should be frightened by asylum seekers. Brilliant work."

This is why on its current path the UK has no future. Because if you live in Scotland or Wales the next election is next year.

These elections decide the people who control our health, education, part of social security (in Scotland), and so much more.
Lots of Labour despair on the timeline today.
The next election is likely more than three years away. The route to winning it starts by acknowledging that some more short term pain is probably required to get into a position where victory is possible.
This budget is going to be painful. But 1/3

This terrifies me. The SNP are vaguely fine on most centre left policies, but they’re not that great on disability and they’re awful on neurodivergence.

Every poll for the past 12 years, basically shows either side between 45% and 55%.

But both sides just keep banging on about how their way is the right way.

Politicians with morals would be interested in finding a compromise. Scottish politicians are interested in increasing division.

I see most terfs are protected from destruction, but not trans people or their allies.

Also, what did the Republican of Ireland do to merit three cities marked for destruction?

All I want is a book set in lowland Scotland, with a grown ass adult as the protagonist and that’s not a crime thriller. I would prefer historical fiction but I’m not sure that exists (that I haven’t already read).

Any suggestions?

I’m reading a book about Mary Shelley when she was sent to live in Scotland and it’s driving me up the wall.

So where she stayed in Dundee is literally where I grew up (my primary school was in the same street, I passed she would’ve stayed on the way to my grandparents).
