Three years ago, a corrupt Supreme Court seized our rights and overturned Roe v. Wade. The resulted is just what we predicted. Women dying because they can't get basic healthcare. Doctors afraid to treat patients.

We’ve bombed Iran. And dismantled our joint terrorism task force. And sent a third of the FBI to help ICE. And gutted the National Security Council. And a drunk guy is in charge at the pentagon. And our intelligence allies probably won’t share intel with us. Because people couldn’t vote for a woman.

Amazing thread. I find it fascinating to reflect back on other key historical moments in our lives with our modern day perspectives. I got in a shouting match with my HS Spanish teacher over the invasion of Iraq. I watched footage of us dropping the bombs and I cried. I was a teenager. I was 16yo.
I was too young to be ware of the Iraq invasion debate but was it this degree of stupid? It can't have been this stupid.

No Kings rally in Bloomington, Illinois. My mom went with me. This is a purple county in a sea of red. This protest turnout was much larger than I have ever seen around here. The crowd was much younger, too. Usually our protesters are mainly retired. It was very encouraging. #nokings #nokingsrally

If I concentrate, I can remember back to the summer of 2016 when no one even took Trump seriously as a candidate. If only we knew then what kind of danger we were in. His bullshit has defined much of the past ten years.

Just got head to toe chills watching the standing ovation at the Tony’s for the Hamilton reunion. It’s a massively pro-immigrant musical and they leaned in heavy on the “history has its eyes on you.” Beautiful!!
