This reminds me that "sports" distracts us way too much. I must admit to putting life on hold to watch the three bicycle grand tours. I feel fucking guilty about it. But it's an addiction. We have to break that addition and make some corrections in the country first.

I love Randy Rainbow. But he keeps reminding me of what should be. I do, finally get around to watching everything. It keeps on the on the insanity edge. BTW: He is a real hoot in a live show.

Also, House reopens & Congresswoman-elect Grijalva presumably gets sworn in. Huge win as presumably a vote on releasing Epstein files soon follows. It is key that this happens before the TN special election in early December. For this reason, I think Trump manufactures a reason not to sign any deal.

Don't try to confuse people with math. No one understands it.
Even if the Senate voted to extend ACA subsidies, the GOP-controlled House is unlikely to allow a vote on them.
And there's of course no guarantee that Trump would even go along with a deal.
The cruel irony is that this will end up hurting Republican states the most.

Just thought of something after making a few (constructive) responses to several good posts. We need to quit making emotional responses to things and start making reasoned responses. From that we will come up with a strategy. We can't all be mad all the time. And be able to think straight.

Seen several posts about Dem senators who "caved". That they did. But I think there might be strategy here. The people with normal brains are not in charge. The monsters with the abnormal brains are. And sometimes we have to play the game to win. I hate it. But that's the reality.

I've always voted Dem. Cause I prefer a slow death to cutting my own throat. I'm surprised that the ACA is still in existence. Especially now. The Dems must work on a strategy to make 2026 a blow-out. Right now. And that starts by not chasing losing issues. We have to win first.

I disagree in that Trump is just a conduit to the violence. I think the plan is to get all of us rubes, on both sides to kill off one another. That solves the oligarchy's problem. That's why most of em made sure Trump was elected.

I had heard an earlier report about this. And hoped it weren't so. We are on our own. We need to make plans to divide up.
