I recommend going to see the sea whenever you can.
I live about half way between the east and west coast (between 90 minutes and 2 hours either way).
I think if I lived, say, 20 minutes from any sea, there wouldn't be a week, possibly a day, where I wouldn't go see it.

Came home at 5ish, fireworks were bad, but not much more than normal.
Current situation 10pm, literally warzone level of explosions.
Don't ever tell me fireworks are for the kids.
