Trump’s anti-trans Executive Order is bad BUT it technically defines everyone as female. It states:

“'Female' means a person belonging, at conception, to the sex that produces the large reproductive cell."

Since all fetuses "at conception" are female, Trump just defined EVERYONE as female.

Great talk by @fmriguy.bsky.social about health-related chances and pitfalls of social media 🤩👏.
I would love your opinion on doi.org/10.1016/j.ch..., which uses temporal networks to offer a glimpse into the causal structure of well-being and social media use. Really convincing design in my opinion🧐

Just stumbled across this. What would you conclude from this correlational structure?

Spoiler: In the peer-reviewed and published paper, there is no discussion on how to draw a valid causal inference from these observational data 🙈

Our longitudinal data (N = 307) with a true pre-pandemic baseline shows that healthy people report *LESS* psychological strain during pandemic downturn than before🧐! Most people were resilient to pandemic stressors💪
