Evidence from 14 research funding programmes confirms that early winners tend to keep winning (Matthew effect). But the idea that an early setback makes you stronger later doesn’t replicate widely.

We show cannabis use disorder is associated with higher midbrain neuromelanin, where such an increase is associated with #psychosis severity. The higher the use, the greater the putative dopamine turnover.
