One of the best things about being a communications professional is that sometimes, I can purchase creative assets directly from Indigenous and local creators vs stock and big media companies. It brings me so much joy when this happens.

One of the biggest challenges of being a communications professional is being forced to engage with poorly implemented communications from others. I.e., my children's school. It's ssssoooo bad. Events w. no listed time, notices that come too late, constant email errors and corrections. UGH

Economic concerns: people are closing up their wallets and spending less because they are scared of what is to come. In my case, our 23-year-old riding mower blew its engine. My hubs and I are driving 7 hours this weekend to buy a clearance mower instead of spending $7K on a new model.

Looking at health insurance plan options in open enrollment. Embedded vs aggregate deductibles, different out-of-pocket maxes for medical care vs prescriptions, percentage of costs after deductibles... I have a suspicion it is supposed to be complicated and confusing, for the benefit of insurers.
