News from the Trump administration today: DOGE is dead, Comey case is dismissed, and threats to court-martial Senator Kelly for telling troops not to follow illegal orders. So, things are going well.

One of the best things about being a communications professional is that sometimes, I can purchase creative assets directly from Indigenous and local creators vs stock and big media companies. It brings me so much joy when this happens.

One of the biggest challenges of being a communications professional is being forced to engage with poorly implemented communications from others. I.e., my children's school. It's ssssoooo bad. Events w. no listed time, notices that come too late, constant email errors and corrections. UGH

Economic concerns: people are closing up their wallets and spending less because they are scared of what is to come. In my case, our 23-year-old riding mower blew its engine. My hubs and I are driving 7 hours this weekend to buy a clearance mower instead of spending $7K on a new model.

Excessive force. PERIOD!

They called them “violent mobs,” but the violence came from the guys with badges and body armor.

Give it up to Republicans in the Senate, who have been told "NO" fourteen times to the same continuing resolution, but keep trying to pass it without making any changes. I guess they never learned that no means no. #republicanshutdown

Looking at health insurance plan options in open enrollment. Embedded vs aggregate deductibles, different out-of-pocket maxes for medical care vs prescriptions, percentage of costs after deductibles... I have a suspicion it is supposed to be complicated and confusing, for the benefit of insurers.

USDA has a $5 billion contingency to maintain food assistance programs. The cut off of SNAP benefits is a CHOICE. The Administration is actively hurting American families because it is hedging that Democratic lawmakers care more about American families than Republicans. It is disgusting.

If you make 130% of the federal poverty level, you qualify for SNAP.

A family of four, making $40,560, qualifies for SNAP benefits meaning thousands of Missouri teachers qualify.

I’m tired of the bullshit. Most of the people who receive snap benefits work.
