This is of course Trump putting the legal burden on ICE agents. There is NO legal right to ignore the mandates of the Constitution.
🚨HOLY CRAP. An ICE whistleblower just revealed a secret memo authorizing ICE officers to break into homes without a judicial warrant, which DHS's own legal training materials say is unconstitutional!

How in the hell did we get here? Just a few years ago we supported gay marriage, the rights of people whose lives and sexuality were different from our own, women’s rights to bodily autonomy, and generally “leave others the fuck alone”. And in its place: meanness.

Trump’s statement that he’s not going to actually send troops to invade Greenland is the kind of temporary retreat he makes when he gets meaningful pushback. He still plans to use economic coercion, and he’ll put the military threat back on the table before long.
