Since before getting top surgery I’ve wanted to build upper body muscle and a friend offered to go with me, so today was my first session and I’m hella sore 😅. Weight loss is not a goal, just building muscle, but we’ll see what my body does. 🫰🏼

I have many thoughts about the discourse surrounding transmasc invisibility vs the fact that the loudest who are constantly talking over trans women (particularly Black women and other women of color) are white trans men. Hmmm. But that’s a conversation that takes nuance and folks are bad at that.

I want us to stay focused on the grief of this terrible moment, but when Black people tell you not to touch something, that is not a challenge. Some things are ours for a reason. We can remember Renee Good as the person she was and the circumstances of her murder without co-opting Black suffering.
“Say her name” is not about allyship. It’s a term crafted for people who are the focus of violence that deliberately erases us. It’s not for her, and it wouldn’t be for her, even if she were Heather Heyer, who didn’t get it when she died for civil rights. Can you understand that?
