We can’t stop this bill from moving forward. What we can do is demand that the Senate—and the House—actually vote to extend the ACA premium subsidies. When they refuse to do so, as is likely, we can use that to fuel the anger to sweep them from power next year.

Standardize? How? Quine's New Foundations (NF), Zermelo/Fraenkel ZF, ZF with Continuum Hypothesis (ZFC), von Neumann–Bernays–Gödel set theory (NBG), Morse–Kelley set theory (MK), Fred Fitch's Symbolic Logic without excluded middle (SL), combinatory logic, modal logic, more. Here is a bit of a puzzle: Why are there so many different Logic textbooks?
Formal Logic (TFL + FOL, nothing meta) seems like one of those things that we should be able to standardize and success in teaching is more clearly measurable compared to other philosophical subjects. Yet…

Some German cities already announced that the natural gas network will be decommissioned in the upcoming 10 years. There will be a higher cost on CO2 emission. So maybe not burning gas might be a good idea after all.

I live in the US, I live in a community that was built in the 1950's. All the houses were built with oil burners and fireplaces. I bought my house after it was flipped to all electric. My electric bills using Central AC & the Heat Pump in the winter have never been bad, solar made it even cheaper.

A historic turning point for clean heating in Europe: For the first time, in the first half of 2025 sales of heat pumps in Germany have surpassed those of gas boilers.
This is a big milestone, demonstrating that the transition away from fossil fuels in our buildings is not just a future ambition.
