I am not saying the same will happen in Iran. I am just saying it is a possibility one should not discount. We encouraged the Iranians to rise up against their regime. They will feel betrayed by us, and the ideas we claim to stand for, if we just watch them get slaughtered.

Iran is a nation that is a state, not an imported state. It is not held together by the regime. So worries of Iran disintegrating like some Middle Eastern cases are wrong, in my opinion.
That is not to say that the transition plan shouldn’t be handled very carefully, though.

Iran is a nation that is a state, not an imported state. It is not held together by the regime. So worries of Iran disintegrating like some Middle Eastern cases are wrong, in my opinion.

I remember having to explain to many people why Iranians were happy that the IRGC leaders were killed during the war with Israel. I hope we all know the reason now. We're dealing with a bloodthirsty terrorist organisation that doesn't stop at any red line or any limit.

Around half an hour ago in Tehran, tonight, January 17, you can hear people chanting “Death to Khamenei.” Many businesses are still on strike, and many people are refusing to go to work or school. At night, people chant even from their homes' windows.

An Iranian ophthalmologist who recently left Iran said that hospitals are struggling to treat all the injured, and doctors are particularly overwhelmed by the high number of eye injuries. He also said there are reports that security forces have taken away injured patients from hospitals.

I'm sure you don't need a reminder from me, but here it is: Many of the people you've seen in the previous videos were shot dead by the IRGC and the Islamic regime. In just a few days, this regime has slaughtered tens of thousands of unarmed civilians in the most brutal way imaginable.
