Hard to think of a series as perfectly paced as Frieren. For a series about leisurely enjoying the little moments in life, it sure is economical with its storytelling.
The segment on the hero of the south does in about 10 minutes what it takes other anime several episodes to convey.

Yesterday was the first time in a while I had a day off so complete. No media, no writing, no posting, no usual day off crossword puzzle, I barely messaged people, stayed in my pajamas all day, no chores. Just pure R&R. It felt good. Wish I had days like that more often. Hope you all have been good!

Working on my next TYL piece. There’s something special to watching Kanon, a wintery anime from 2006, on DVD while the snow is outside with a cup of hot cocoa. Hits the spot.

I just saw Minus One past year. Sadly couldn’t make it to theaters for it, a mistake I hope to rectify with this one. Minus One was incredible.

One reason I don’t use social media much now is that this admin has exhausted me so much and every time I log in I feel convinced I need to denounce it at every turn, say something on the “important matters.”

How do you let big retailers like Walmart and Amazon sell your own products at a better discount? Wow 30% off select items! Total joke.

TV is Trying to Be More Like Movies. That’s Not Good.
Bigger budgets, shorter seasons, and longer wait times between them.
