It is difficult not to feel ... ragey... lately. Remember to pause, go out in nature and re-fill your cup. Can't fight fascists when our internal resources are depleted. Make sure to take care of you ❤️ It's part of saving the world - you're the world, the world is you.
This is something I have had to do myself a lot this week. And it does work. Even though it can be exhausting and hard work sometimes, it is useful advice. May you find your calm, my friends. 😊

If you don't have this book. Order a HARD COPY now. Read it. Recognize that much of what happens in the book, is happening now in the U.S. Then, resist. With everything that is in you.

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public

Yesterday was our last day with this sweet, grumpy old brown bear we called Cooper. It all happened so unexpectedly, but we are glad we could help him make his transition into the next life. I'll look for you in the skies with the birds you wanted so badly to catch ❤️

The joy of impermanence is that it makes room for joy in dark places. It's the fireflies at midnight, it's the beauty of the hooting owl in obscured branches, it's finding love where the waters were once too muddied to perceive it.

Oh Target, I'm so disappointed in you. You used to be all about diversity and equity, but apparently that was all just an act, because when we really believe in something, we stand up for it in the face of adversity. Instead, you're pandering to and falling in step with the powers that be.
so far going anti-woke leads to less money and planes falling out of the sky

Resistance isn't always about violence. Sometimes it's stuff like this - standing up for what you know in your heart is right, and loudly declaring it to be so.

This is why knowing our actual history is important. So we can avoid repeating it. Yet Jerry we are ... not learning. We have an opportunity to try to really learn this time. Who will take the time?
