Sorry, deleted and reposted. Don’t want to accidentally spread inaccurate info. This is a staffer in Tim Kaine’s office. Not the senator. They told her he wasn’t in the office today. Point still stands that they don’t care. At all.

Senators who don’t want to be primaried should prob jump on this bandwagon.
Dems calling for Schumer to be replaced:
- Ro Khanna
- Mike Levin
- Seth Moulton
- Marc Pocan
- Delia Ramirez

Wild that you think there will actually be a vote. What guarantees do you have from Mike Johnson by the way? And how will you hold them accountable when they renege on all of these pinky promises now that your party has given up its leverage? Angry posts? Strongly worded letters?
1. We need to fight hard for a good ACA extension early in December and hold Republicans fiercely accountable if they betray everyone.

This is what Dems allowed Republicans to do to people, btw. It’s not just a little increase. It’s not even just double. If they charge a price that no one can afford, in essence they’re just eliminating healthcare coverage. For millions of people.
Because many struggle with math…

There are already people on this godforsaken app starting in on the “democrats did the smart thing and outmaneuvered republicans, actually” line of horseshit and I just want you all for once to dislodge your heads from your fucking asses and your lips from their assholes.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.
The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.
People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.
And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Stripping people of health insurance right before the holidays is certainly a choice. Not one I would make but a choice nonetheless.

You haven’t done shit, actually.
Democrats have been fighting for months to address America's healthcare crisis
For the millions who will lose coverage
For people with cancer who won't get the care they need
For working families who can't afford to pay $25K more a year for healthcare
We will keep fighting

Primary every single fucking one of them. They let this entire country suffer for nothing. To make things even worse in fact.

I was hating her before it was popular.
If she has a million haters, I am one of them. If she has one hater, that is me. If she has no haters that is because I am dead.

No one’s affording thanksgiving travel when monthly insurance costs are more than their pay and housing. But sure.
My read of it (with very incomplete information) is scoring more political points would have required destroying Thanksgiving travel and at least 10 Dem Senators don’t have the stomach for that.

*If* this were to happen and *when* republicans either refuse to hold that vote or hold it and then obviously vote against, democrats will get the blame for everyone’s insurance premiums being like 3k per month.
Which is, of course, a good way to go into the midterm elections.

From what I have seen so far this does not seem like a good deal:
