Hello Bluesky! 👋🏻

I'm a #yyc based politically active millennial who loves reading, music, and dabbling in a little witchcraft 🔮

I also love travelling, trying new restaurants, and snuggling with my two cats, Nelson and Gracey (photo attached)

Looking forward to connecting with you all!
This bus has been stranded on Edmonton Trail and 4th Ave since before I came home yesterday. 24 hours later and it's still here, wtf.

The highest turnout in decades. We need to get better at finding genuine humans that people would get excited to vote for.

UCP supporters will say Operation Total Recall is a leftist conspiracy but Calgary Bow's petition was filed by an individual who ran for the Alberta Party in 2023 and Airdrie East was filed by an individual who told media he's "not an NDP supporter"

Keeping up with the UCP government's democratic transgressions can be difficult.

But not impossible.

Here’s a running list since Danielle Smith became premier. 🧵👇

Yesterday I declined a renewal contract with a company because the credit check they did on us "didn't provide enough info" for them to believe that we could pay $118 monthly for a 3 year term despite us already paying that for the last 2 years. They wanted a co-signer for the contract.

I'm wondering if there's such a resource where people can brush up on their knowledge of what actually happens in government?

Alberta, rise up! ✊🏾 This is the moment.

- Got $500? Give it to a teacher to pay their fine(s).
- what if teachers all called in sick on Wednesday?
- what if teachers all resigned, en masse?
- labour lawyers, you know Bill 2 isn't just, please consider supporting the cause & donate your hours.

"I remember when the party fired their leaders for less"

And that's because they're scared of us. They are so desperately clinging to power that they'd rather fall in line with a dictator than risk a boot from caucus or trigger a non confidence vote and lose.

Do NOT give up this fight.
A friend was down about how conservative Alberta is so I reminded him that when we were in high school many years ago, an NDP opposition was unthinkable. 1/3

Currently reading a book that's so bad I can tell that the author is conservative, lol

Perhaps he'll experience his exact words: "Johnston told reporters that all elected officials should be afraid of the “power of the people” and he will continue to push for Gondek to resign." Gondek isn't there anymore to be tied to the whipping post. globalnews.ca/news/1040385...
