I guess the senate democrats think we're idiots & don't know that this was a surrender agreed upon behind closed doors, then 8 who were not up for re-election in 2026 chosen to take the fall. They all need to be voted out. They don't represent our interests. This is such a shameful failure.

True, I live w/& cook for a pescatarian, but sometimes, when it's been a long week (& the day starts badly w/ unexpected but urgent laundry) - I need the Sunday smells of my aunt's home, a long roasting chicken & vegetables, low temp, all afternoon. Because. And today, well, I need it. And so it is.

It is beyond my understanding- going to the Supreme Court to deny people SNAP. It is also beyond repugnant and immoral. Anyone who doesn't yet understand that this man and his jackbooted thugs are sociopaths, is either very very stupid or very very evil.

My younger sister was on a month long cross country jaunt (I am the only poor sibling, lol) and brought me back some tea (and also a tote from Ann Patchett's Parnassus Books). I'm very very happy she's back in our hometown.

I used a drop box yesterday to turn in ballots for myself & sister. BLUE MARYLAND! We had 4 local races. I did my part in other states where the results were VERY important by joining postcard teams - I wrote prescribed copy & supplied postage despite my arthritic hands & poverty- VOTE!!!!!!!!
