In July 2022, the County Council committed to develop a public realm improvement scheme for Mill Road.

We know that a scheme will benefit both local residents and traders, and have substantial local support.

So where is it? Please sign the petition!

We'd love to see more zebra crossing and raised tables (the bits that continue the pavement over the road). @transportforall.org.uk has shown these would benefit disabled people hugely, but if we reasonably adjust our streets, everyone benefits.

"Fietsvlonders" are mobile bike platforms designed to turn a car parking spot into urban bike parking. They’re modular, moveable, and cheap, making it easy to test better use of public space. When car storage gets swapped for bikes, entire streets start to feel different.
