In February, I passed a kidney stone in a Home Depot bathroom. Somehow, the year got progressively worse.
It bothers me that there’s a generation of people who don’t know the joy of an ice-cold Ecto Cooler.

Pittsburgh Public School football is a vibe.

Any reporter who doesn’t voluntarily surrender their credentials is a shill.
This is where you are ⬇️

All they do is lie anyway. It’s obviously harder, but you can report accurately and not be in the room.
There goes the First Amendment.

My 15yo son, who's played soccer for years, decided he wanted to go out for his high school's football team as a place kicker. We bought this football a month ago...

Let’s fix the broken world we’ve created. And once all the real problems are fixed, we can focus on the pretend problems that exist only to scare boomers, like trans kids playing sports.

I am not exaggerating when I say that it has rained probably 47 or 48 of the last 50 days in #Pittsburgh….

“When’s the last time it wasn’t raining in #Pittsburgh?”

My son is nearly 15 years old.
And every day I wonder if this will be the day
That he chooses not to give me a hug
And tell me he loves me.
Tonight I will go to bed,
Tired. Overworked. Beat down.
But happy
In the knowledge, that today will not be that day.

So…I almost ran over Lisa Loeb near Penn Ave. trying to find parking for Three Rivers Arts Fest in #Pittsburgh

Full transparency: I only have one job, which is to parse through lots of information so I can make educated and informed decisions that will benefit the people that elected me, and I'm too lazy to do it.
I mean, if you had a serious, important job and you made a mistake like this, you'd probably get fired...

In places like Pittsburgh- which is a topographical nightmare for auto travel- people just didn't move. There's a joke amongst oldtimer Yinzers that if you have to cross a bridge, it's too far away (there are like 400 bridges in Pittsburgh). People stayed in their neighborhoods.
Two things about this zoomer post:

1) This person can't imagine the pile of Mapquest printouts I had on the front seat of my 1991 Camry back late 90s and early 2000s.

2) We had to know things back then. We couldn't ask a robot to do all our thinking for us.

Elite thread.
If you can win in a room full of women dressed like Tony Tony Chopper you gotta consult with your inner loser
I am still trying to understand this "incel" shit you have all these loner dudes out here talking about women don't like them cause they nerds...and there's a bunch of "nerdy" women looking like that out here...something ain't adding up🤣

You know who I want to read more stories about trans issues from? Trans people. If you aren’t dealing with the struggle, I’m not sure your opinion matters much. Lift trans voices and listen to them.

I've basically reached the age where I've become an NPC that spends most its time in and around travel soccer events and desperately trying to keep up with chores.

The tiny dick energy of being mad about people different than you celebrating what makes them unique.

People always wince a little when we tell them that our son goes to a Pittsburgh Public School. They act like we're sending him to a gulag. But my son is getting a good education. He's seeing and making friends with kids of all races, backgrounds and identities. It's not perfect, but it's working.
June 3, 2025 at 3:01 PM
My almost 15 yo son's take on the "trans kids playing sports" debate: "I don't know what the perfect answer is. But I don't think it's banning trans kids from playing."
June 3, 2025 at 1:22 PM
It's tough to make a defensible stance if you are uninformed. This is important stuff and it's happening right before our eyes. Read Skrmetti. Familiarize yourself. Call your representatives. Trans rights are human rights.

LinkedIn is so weird. It's like, "someone's been peepin' on you, but you've got to pay a few dollars to see who..."

I don't normally drink coffee, but when I do, I drink, like, three cups in an hour and start buzzing around like a malfunctioning riding lawnmower.

It’s been raining in Pittsburgh for the last 106 days in a row. Maybe that’s an exaggeration. But it’s what it feels like.
