In February, I passed a kidney stone in a Home Depot bathroom. Somehow, the year got progressively worse.

Full transparency: I only have one job, which is to parse through lots of information so I can make educated and informed decisions that will benefit the people that elected me, and I'm too lazy to do it.

In places like Pittsburgh- which is a topographical nightmare for auto travel- people just didn't move. There's a joke amongst oldtimer Yinzers that if you have to cross a bridge, it's too far away (there are like 400 bridges in Pittsburgh). People stayed in their neighborhoods.
Two things about this zoomer post:
1) This person can't imagine the pile of Mapquest printouts I had on the front seat of my 1991 Camry back late 90s and early 2000s.
2) We had to know things back then. We couldn't ask a robot to do all our thinking for us.

I've basically reached the age where I've become an NPC that spends most its time in and around travel soccer events and desperately trying to keep up with chores.

People always wince a little when we tell them that our son goes to a Pittsburgh Public School. They act like we're sending him to a gulag. But my son is getting a good education. He's seeing and making friends with kids of all races, backgrounds and identities. It's not perfect, but it's working.

It's tough to make a defensible stance if you are uninformed. This is important stuff and it's happening right before our eyes. Read Skrmetti. Familiarize yourself. Call your representatives. Trans rights are human rights.
