I've been critical of her job, but I've gotta hand it to Governor Kotek. She positioned us to be ready, and the people of Oregon benefited from it. Well played.

Here’s the problem. Both statements are true. Raising the minimum wage will increase costs, because it’s an increased biz expense, but not raising it while all prices go up anyway is also problematic. It’s a sign of a broken system that only favors the rich, and stacks the deck against the poor.

This is harsh. Really harsh, and it makes me squirm a little bit, because it's a really harsh, stark statement. Here's the sad part. I don't disagree with any of it. Is that an indication of where my own mindset is, or where we are as a country? Maybe a little bit of both?

I saw another post promoting a boycott of Black Friday & Cyber Monday this year. I'm not opposed at all, it's worth exploring.
I saw comments suggesting that we don't punish blue companies. Do they exist? It seems like most companies donate to both parties. So, Lego and Small Business Saturday?
