This a big deal: "China’s carbon dioxide emissions have been flat or falling for 18 months"
China's economy has grown by ~5% in the last year, so this comprehensively debunks the idea (again) that emissions are tied to growth. So yes, faster progress needed, but this is how you turn the corner.

It was a cloudy day on Lake Superior.
We ran 19km through rain and sleet. I was really tired by the end. Took some grit to get through this one.

Our local, small town schools offered free Covid and Flu shots to students today!
Local pharmacies won't give shots to kids, but luckily Michigan stepped up to protect school-age kids.
The struggle to find shots for preschoolers continues.

It’s November in the meadow.
I always lament the arrival of winter because we have long, harsh ones. But now that November has arrived, I’m feeling ready

Little trail run in the hills today with a bit of snow along the way.
That makes 950 consecutive days of daily running

Everyone at the grocery store was so impressed that I was shopping with my kids, even though I’m a man.
How are we so incompetent that this is considered praiseworthy?

We got rooftop solar! And home batteries so that we don’t have to use the grid (except when there’s lots of snow).
These new panels are so efficient that we’re generating more than we use on a cloudy afternoon in October!

What is a reasonable number of bagels to eat after running 50 miles?
Or, better yet, when does it become unreasonable?
Or, better yet, when does it become unreasonable?
I ran my first Backyard Ultra and stayed in for 50 miles (12 hours)!
Completing a ~7 km lap every hour is tough. Don’t think I like backyard ultras, but it was fun to support a new local race

I’m running my first backyard ultramarathon tomorrow! 1 loop per hour up to 100 miles in 24 hours.
I don’t like the concept but I want to support a new local ultra. I’m still recovering from my 100, so not sure how far I’ll go, but I’m hoping I’ll get 42km.

They are delicious: so sweet, so juicy! But I’m not sure it’s worth the prime spots in our little garden.
