Trump and Hegseth are trying to intimidate me into silence. After 25 years in the Navy, I can tell you — that's not going to work. This is about defending everyone's First Amendment rights.

If you are a Republican lawmaker....YOU fucking did this. YOU enabled him. YOU supported him. YOU voted with him. YOU didn't remove him.

Today...because of YOU...this...is what the White House website has on it today.

Don't you dare point at him. YOU did this.

Trump is trying to pull off the biggest act of gaslighting in US history.

Other than his gaslighting of the 2020 election results.
I've watched thousands of videos from the Jan. 6 riot as part of NPR's reporting and archive project on that day.

Here are some of the lesser known videos that have really stuck with me.

Re-upping this today on the fifth anniversary of the January 6 insurrection which Donald Trump incited. He is the insurrectionist-in-chief, who is disqualified under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment from holding public office and who must now be impeached and removed. @fsfp.bsky.social
Thank you @deanobeidallah.bsky.social. We either have a Constitution or we do not. Under the constitutional mandate of Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, Donald Trump will be an illegitimate president. He is an adjudicated insurrectionist and is disqualified. @fsfp.bsky.social
Constitutional Law expert: Trump will be an “illegitimate” President given he's barred from office by Section 3 of 14th Amendment. Thus, Every action Trump takes will be legally invalid. They're co-opting one of the most impactful phrases in American presidential history referencing one of the most impactful moments in world history.

This is disgusting revisionism and waters down the meaning of the phrase and is a total affront to the people who died at Pearl Harbor.

Fuck DJT.

Yeah except that the oil leases in Iraq were controlled by China. We knew this at the time, we were never getting the oil and this was the massive lie.

All to keep the US public on the side of the war because gas prices were so high in the US.

Same bs here. Taxpayers on the hook again. #Veterans
Joe Scarborough on his call with Trump:

"The president's response, 'Joe, the difference between Iraq and this is that Bush didn't keep the oil. We're going to keep the oil.'

"'In 2016, I said we should have kept the oil. It caused a lot of controversy …this time we're going to keep the oil.'"

Let’s be real. As a tea party member you didn’t give two flying fucks about the constitution either.

Same goes for how you voted for the Iraq war and how you treated Iraq war veterans. Funny how you repeatedly voted for more military action but voted against VA funding. #Veteran
Bullshit. Demanding a U.S. President follow our Constitution isn’t “whining.” Maybe Americans no longer care about the Constitution & the rule of law, but without the Constitution & the rule of law, our democracy doesn’t survive. So there ain’t nothing “weak” about fighting for democracy’s survival.

MLF has shown you once again that he’s not a creative play caller. 3rd string or not, I can’t wait till Love just stands in the pocket again and he never calls a play to move the pocket.

He doesn’t learn and this should be his last season with the team. #GoPackGo #Enough

Well war, war never changes. Nor does the military industrial complex.

Always more money to squeeze out of the taxpayers.

Funny how those us that served in Iraq aren’t being asked about it. But the media will drool all over the administration because they love war. #Veterans
The year is 2003. I’m 17 years old. I’m watching Democrats fail to appropriately oppose an illegal war for oil.

For anyone that doesn’t want to heed these words ⬇️

Go read some books on Vichy France and then tell me how you feel. Since 2021 it’s been a kick in the nuts by establishment dems.

They refused to do what’s right. If we ever come out of this we will need a reconstruction era level effort.
January 3, 2026 at 10:17 PM
At minimum you’d need 60k to 100k soldiers on the ground. Then you’d bolster all of that with support troops from coalition countries.

It would then balloon to a surge of nearly 300k.

Oh wait. That was 3 years into the Iraq war. #Whoops
“'You would have no command and control over the military and no police force,' he said. 'You’d have looting and chaos.' Any U.S. military deployment meant to stabilize the country would probably require tens of thousands of troops, he said."

Damn Will Stancil this sounds exactly like Iraq circa 2003.

Absolute clown.
What, and I cannot overemphasize this enough, the fuck
January 3, 2026 at 2:36 PM
I’m so tired of this. If it didn’t happen after 1/6/21. It’s not happening now.

The line was crossed, every single politician & American wanted to kick the can down the road. No one wanted to face the hard choices. Here we are.

An insurrectionist President & Congress/SC protection.

It’s over.
Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.
January 3, 2026 at 2:23 PM
LMAO

Popularity doesn’t matter when you’re killing people at sea as “narco terrorists”.

This is very close to the invasion of Iraq, the difference is Saddam hid underground. But the end will be the same. Because they both lied to the public repeatedly.

But we can’t afford the VA. 🤷 #Veterans
This is nothing like Iraq. That was a catastrophe and moral atrocity, but also, Bush was incredibly popular, spent a year securing broad public support, received congressional authorization.

Trump is very unpopular, has not bothered to build any case, and is doing this illegally and unilaterally.
January 3, 2026 at 2:17 PM
Yeah Congress isn’t doing that.

But you could get veterans from Iraq & Afghanistan on TV and ask them what it was like to watch this play out. MAYBE the average citizen would listen to those of us that have PTSD and were exposed to the burn pits.

I highly doubt anyone cares though. #Veterans
Good example of what every elected Dem and candidate should be saying loudly right now:
Tonight, the President of the United States has launched an unconstitutional war of aggression, dooming another generation to spill their blood for oil, and lay waste to a sovereign nation.

I demand that Congress exercise its power, halt this conflict, and impeach this war criminal president.
January 3, 2026 at 1:56 PM
And no one in the US media will talk to any of us that went to war in Iraq. How this is nearly exactly the same and I expect the same outcome.

Defense contractors to get massively rich, while the US never gets the oil because it’s not possible.

This country never fucking learns. Thanks #Congress
There are three scenarios for Venezuela: military takeover (speeches/signs for that in place), opposition returns upon regime collapse, or vice president assumes power.
January 3, 2026 at 1:53 PM
Once again I BEG anyone in the media to please start talking to those of us that served in Iraq & Afghanistan.

Start talking to veterans and you’ll quickly learn how we all knew those wars were all about money and not about “regime change”.

But they won’t. More future #Veterans will suffer…
Of course not. Congress is a joke under GOP/cult control.
U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee was not notified ahead of U.S. airstrikes on Venezuela, source tells CNN
January 3, 2026 at 1:37 PM
The plan is as it’s always been nation building…just kidding. It’s for defense contractors to make billions of dollars while they pay those service members very little.

There is no plan. It’s just so certain groups can raid even more money from our government and now from the people of Venezuela.
So like…now what? Is there a plan here exactly for what happens when you decapitate a government overnight?

Or is this just the “Jesus take the wheel” school of military planning?

Firing Bud set this franchise back in ways no one could see at the time.

But this was the claim many made about Griffin, that the locker room was the lost and Giannis drawing up plays.

Here we are now. A bottom team in the east and no way out. Just fire Doc and be done with it. #FearTheDeer
